For thousands of years in India and other parts of Asia, turmeric has been respected as an almost miracle spice. Held as a medicinal cure-all in many Eastern traditions this unique beverage has been used for a variety of conditions and afflictions. The West has started to acknowledge many of its benefits, thus it is becoming a trendy alternative the “mom’s chicken noodle soup.” Enjoy this recipe to soothe and balance the mind and body. Let its warmth, sweetness, and spice give you comfort on cold nights or bothersome days. 4 cups milk (You can chose any milk. My favorite is oat or raw dairy from A2 cows!)
2-4 teaspoons organic turmeric powder 1-2 tsp honey or organic, unrefined sugar (optional) 1 inch piece freshly grated ginger 1 pinch fresh ground black pepper 1. Heat milk on medium low. 2. When milk begins to steam or bubble slightly, reduce heat and add all ingredients except honey. 3. Stir continuously for 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and strain liquid. Discard ginger. 4. Sweeten with honey or favorite sweetener as you like. Serve and enjoy!!

Finding a time that works for you is the most important thing. If you are not a morning person, meditating in the morning probably won't work for you. The key is finding a chunk of time in your routine that you can dedicate to the practice so that the habit forms.
